Ms. Gosnell is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the UCSF Pediatric Heart Center. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Purdue University in 1997. Shortly after graduation she began her pediatric nursing career at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Travel nursing brought her to San Francisco in 2003 where she worked as a RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. After finishing her Master’s degree at UCSF she began as a clinical coordinator for the division of pediatric surgery.
Ms. Gosnell’s clinical experience has been exclusively devoted to the care of children with acute and chronic illness. She expanded her skills to include the care of mothers and unborn infants when joining the Fetal Treatment Center Team in 2009. She specializes in pregnancies complicated by congenital heart disease and twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Her research interests include long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes in complicated twin pregnancies and in-utero treatment of urological disease. In addition to her work in the fetal center, Ms. Gosnell enjoys teaching nursing students. She shares her knowledge and skills as adjunct clinical faculty in schools across the Bay Area.
